A figure walked around the village of Kirigakure, hoping he could do something amusing today. He'd been in the library all week doing his research on several topics. He'd been waking up at six and leaving at nine. If he didn't find anything to do soon, he was going to crack and just go to the library again. He decided to walk into a shop and buy a pastry. After he was halfway done, he walked out and began to eat the rest on the way. He walked to one of the training centers and slumped underneath a tree looking at a lake adjacent to him. The water sparkling, ducks swimming around with their families, fish swimming underneath....

"Fish!" Kitsune remembered suddenly. He thought he was forgetting something! He read the wanted poster of Kisame Hoshigake and he thought he resembled a fish.... He wasn't sure how that was possible though. He wanted to research different jutsu to see if it was a technique. He didn't think he would find out the answer this way, but there was no harm in trying. But he couldn't get up. At least he didn't want to. He decided he would do it tomorrow and just close his eyes right now....

"Hmm, I wonder if I'll ever be able to withstand genjutsu, without using much, if any, effort? I guess I may never get that strong...course that's probably a good thing though, seeing as not being able to lose would get to be boring." He stumbled across a lazy looking shinobi. Dear God, not another Shikamaru!

Without opening up his eyes, Kitsune said, "No. Get lost loser." A second after Kitsune said that, a grin formed on his face. "You wouldn't happen to be doing anything today would you? I was getting bored before you showed up. A good sparring match should cure me of that boredom... But if we do... one condition... he fight out on the lake." He nodded towards the lake in front of him, too lazy to point at it with his hands. "Loser gives the winner something... valuable.... Oh ya... my name's Kitsune by the way. I live in the village. I don't think I've seen you around before.... Are you a wanderer?" Kitsune stood up, grabbed a kunai out of his holster, twirled it, and threw it up high into the air and waited for it to fall down. In the mean time, he grabbed his pastry and began to eat it.

My, how rude! Looks like he's gonna be the Kiri version of the legendary Shikamaru.

"You wouldn't happen to be doing anything today would you? I was getting bored before you showed up. A good sparring match should cure me of that boredom... But if we do... one condition... we fight out on the lake."

"Sure, I don't care." He started to head towards the lake. I wonder what the big deal is about the lake. Is there a certain technique he wishes to use? The shinobi started to speak once again.

"Loser gives the winner something... valuable.... Oh ya... my name's Kitsune by the way. I live in the village. I don't think I've seen you around before.... Are you a wanderer?"

"Hmm...I could have sworn you said earlier 'one condition' not two. Do not expect anything from me, including mercy. My name is Xavier, and your obvious laziness seems to be a burden: I live here too, and you would know that if you actually got around more often, especially since I sell paintings." Xavier then walked onto the lake, straying to the middle of it.

"Well, are you going to come, or is your laziness to strong to resist an offer that even you made?"

Kitsune raised an eyebrow. When he was about to speak, he extended his arm, making the gesture to shake. Two seconds later, the kunai he flung up came back down. He twisted his arm and caught it in between his index and middle fingers and placed it back in the holster. "All right...." He said, "let's go. Just one thing.... Tag!!" He pushed Xavier with the tips of his fingers, and ten red dots appeared on his clothes. The next moment, Kitsune was on the water, smiling innocently. Extending his hands outwards like a zombie, he activated his YinYang Projectile Technique and senbon were launched out of the senbon launcher hidden under his arms. Two dozen were launched out, and they were guided to the red dots now on Xavier, covering his chest.

As the senbon came flying towards him, Xavier wrapped his hand around one of the handles strapped to his sides. When they came close enough, he withdrew what was a small sword, and deflected the senbon.

"Really. You can't be serious, can you? You're going to have to resort to a better strategy than simply slight-of-hand trickery to have a chance of a decent spar with me." He stated, twirling his sword.

"You're joking right?" Kitsune called out, "You probably can't even beat me without using your sword!" Kitsune was trying to lure him in... egg him on. He wanted to see the full extent of his abilities. The fight wouldn't be fun otherwise. His arms still extended, he shot out more senbon with one arm, and a kunai with an explosion tag with the other. Even he he was to knock them all away, the explosion tag that was hidden by the senbon, would still explode... blasting him away.... That would be a funny site. Not really bothering to look up, he took a book out of his jacket pocket and began to read it. He had to return it back to the library later today and he was almost done with it. Looking up again, he was curious of how Xavier was going to block this attack.... The kunai was hidden well enough in the midst of senbon that probably his first thought would be to show off and deflect it again, and at the same time the kunai would blow his face off.

He's too smart to use the same attack twice. Something's up...

Xavier jumped up at and angle backwards, and threw his sword. It deflected all the senbon, and then exploded. So, he hid an exploding tag within the senbon.

"Well, I could, I just prefer not to. I might consider it if you'll consider not using cheap tricks. But, I doubt that's going to happen." He then jerked his arm back, and his sword returned to him.

"What cheap tricks?" Kitsune asked, lowering his arms down, casually having them behind his back, "A cheap trick would be a technique that is used in an unorthodox way preventing you to from even know it's coming, being able to block it, or dodge it.... You knew perfectly well that my weapons were coming straight at you.... Therefore it's not called a cheap trick. Think of it more as... a clever tactic." Kitsune smirked, and casually activated handsigns behind his back. "Oh well...." Kitsune said, looking mockingly disappointed, "I guess you're just a coward. I bet my knives could beat your sword." He nodded towards his two knives that hung on his waist. "Wish to prove me wrong?"

"Hmm...do you really think so? Well, two against one isn't very fair, so how about I even the odds, eh?" Xavier then withdrew his other sword.

"Now then, shall we dance?"

Xavier pushed off the water and practically flew into the sky. He then fell down above Kitsune with both swords crossed like an 'X' and swung down hard.

[Sorry that they are all so short: I don't know why I'm not getting more. Maybe once the battle really starts, my mind will reaaly start to flow!]

"Sucker. All Kitsune simply had to do was step back a step when Xavier was near him. As Xavier landed on the water and missed Kitsune, he muttered, "Water Bubbles." He dispersed chakra from his feet, and the place where Xavier landed, immediately opened up, the water beneath him disappeared, meaning Xavier quickly fell into it. The top sealed off again, and the Water Bubble slowly sank down, Xavier trapped inside it. "It's going to be fun watching him get out of that," Kitsune thought to himself, smiling as he watched the trapped Xavier inside, "I don't even think I put enough air in there for a couple of minutes... whoops. Lazily, he pulled out a pocket watch and examined the time. Maybe he was going to the library early after all. Putting it away he put his book back in its pouch and performed another set of handseals, if, and only if, Xavier managed to get out of the technique. Lazily, he put his hand back in his pouch and pulled the book out. He didn't have to read a lot now and he was almost finished.

Xavier thrusted his swords into the sides of the bubble, popping it easily. He then swam until he nearly reached the top of the lake. He still couldn't be seen be the lazy boy, which he decided to take to his advantage. He tied one of his swords to the bottom of his right shoe. Since it was a short sword, it wasn't much longer than his foot, making it very well concealed. He then latched his daggers to their handles on his wrists, officially setting up his wristblades, and covered them with his sleeves.

He then resurfaced, and stood on the water. He was about 7ft away from Kitsune, who was reading a book. "Heh, thanks for making me lose a sword, jackass! You and your cheap tricks...how many times do I have to tell you that they won't work on me? Why don't you come over here and fight me hand to hand like a man? Or is that calm-like demeanor of yours just a cover up to hide how much of a coward you are?"

[Meh. I don't define that as autohitting, because you landed on the water and Kitsune's feet and he activated the technique as soon as you landed, if not a split second before. By the way, "retard" is just another word for slow....]

Kitsune laughed at the pathetic shinobi's words. "I told you already. They're not cheap tricks. You're just too stupid to get caught in them. And really? I think water got in my ear. Did you just say they don't work on you? You're soaking wet which will retard your kenjutsu and taijutsu. Plus you lost a sword. I'm pretty sure my techniques are going smoothly." Putting his book away, he activated one last seal for his technique. "Water Current!" He shouted, and a speared shape of water rose in the air, heading directly at Xavier, the top spinning as fast as it could to increase piercing power. Guiding it with one hand, he shot senbon carelessly at Xavier with his spare. Like before, the senbon were still being guided to the ten red dots on Xavier's chest.

Xavier saw the techniques and, with precise timing, sidestepped them both. He swung his sword down, slamming the senbon into the lake, just incase the red dots gave them a homing-like ability if still airborn.

"Hmm...it would seem you do poorly at long-range combat. Let's see if I can take advantage of that!" he reached for something in his belt. He then retrieved a bottle containing a black liquid. He threw it at his opponent, then made hand signs. He waited until the bottle was about midway between him and his opponent, the shouted: "Jinutsu: Goru!" Suddenly, the bottle exploded, sending glass shards and blobs of the liquid everywhere. Xavier deflected the glass with his sword, but was covered by the substance. There was no way he would be able to dodge the liquid; it would hit anybody in a 10ft radius!
